A member of a popular dark web forum has allegedly breached the Dell India Vendor Portal, compromising sensitive vendor data.
The breach, which affects over 5,000 vendors, has exposed critical information, raising concerns about the security of vendor management systems in the country.
According to a post shared by ThreatMon, the breach involved the leakage of vendor names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, and other personal and professional details.

Alleged Exploitation of Vendor Portal
The breach reportedly stems from an exploit in Dell’s Official India Vendor Portal, which allowed the hacker to gain access to vast amounts of confidential data.
The hackers claim to have accessed over 400,000 private HTML pages on the portal, each containing valuable information related to Dell’s vendors.
The sensitive data, which includes uploaded documents of vendors, could be used for various malicious activities, from identity theft to targeted phishing attacks.
The cybersecurity community has expressed concerns over the method by which the portal was exploited, which points to potential vulnerabilities in Dell’s vendor management platform.
As of now, Dell has not made any official statement regarding the alleged breach, and it remains unclear whether the company has started investigating the matter.
Cybersecurity experts are urging vendors associated with Dell India to remain vigilant and take immediate steps to safeguard their information.
