Bug Fixes
The latest release addresses several critical vulnerabilities and bugs that were present in previous versions:
- Vulnerabilities Fixed: The ITS dissector crash (wnpa-sec-2024-12) and crashes related to AppleTalk and RELOAD Framing dissectors (wnpa-sec-2024-13) have been resolved.
- Bug Resolutions: Issues such as corrupt interface handling during live captures (Issue 11176), extcap toolbar malfunctions (Issue 19854), and incorrect NetFlow v8 TOS AS aggregation dissection (Issue 20021) have been fixed. Additionally, problems with Bluetooth classic L2CAP dissection (Issue 20047) and GUI lags due to NetworkManager interference (Issue 20090) have been addressed.
New and Updated Features
While no new protocols were introduced in this release, several existing protocols received updates. Notably, the TShark syntax has been refined to improve usability.
The command for dumping fields with a certain prefix has changed from -G fields prefix to -G fields, prefix, enhancing the functionality of TShark commands.

Wireshark 4.4.1 continues to expand its capabilities with updated support for a wide range of protocols including AppleTalk, BGP, HTTP2, Kerberos, MySQL, and many more.
